Closing in Woodland Park, Colorado

One of the nice things about being a notary signing agent is that, every closing assignment takes us to a different location.  And if you're a signing agent in Colorado, you get to see some really beautiful places.

Woodland Park - The City Above the CloudsI had a closing yesterday in Woodland Park -- nicknamed "The City Above the Clouds". And for good reason. It's situated at 8,500 feet above sea level. That's over 2,000 feet higher in elevation than Colorado Springs. And we're considered high.

In addition to being high in elevation, the city is surrounded by the Pike National Forest. That is evident wherever you happen to be in Woodland Park.

This is the road the borrowers live on. As you can imagine, it is pretty quiet here. And pretty.

Woodland Park - Colorado Rockies in backgroundI'm heading back to Colorado Springs now.

I really don't want to leave, but I have to drop off the loan documents at UPS.  What I would rather do is go hiking.  There are plenty of nice places to do that.

Let's take a closer look at this sign.

Hmm, I think I'd like to turn left and go to 'Paradise'. Turning right wouldn't be such a bad idea either. There's a view of the snow-capped Rocky Mountains in the background.

Wal-Mart in Woodland Park, ColoradoThere is the Wal-Mart.

As you can see, it was constructed in such a way that it blends in with the scenery.

All of the buildings in Woodland Park are like that. I doubt if there is a building that is more than 2 stories.

The borrowers appreciated the fact that they were able to sign their loan documents without having to leave their home. Actually I'm the one who probably appreciated it the most.

I'm fortunate that I had the opportunity to do the closing in Woodland Park.
